National is a licensing organization for stationary operating engineers responsible for the operation and maintenance of heating plants, chiller plants and power plants. The National Association of Stationary Operating Engineers offers licensing certifications for:

Chief Engineer License - Management/Supervisory Certification - Responsible for entire plant
First Class Engineer License - Supervisory Certification - Responsible for individual shift
Second Class Engineers License - Non-supervisory Certification - Group Leader
Third Class Engineers License - Non-supervisory Certification - Shift Engineer
High Pressure Boiler License - Unlimited Horsepower Stationary Operating Engineer
Low Pressure Boiler License - Unlimited Horsepower Stationary Operating Engineer

Combined Cycle (Brayton and Rankin) License or Endorsement for Combined Cycle Combustion Turbines CCCT

CCCT First Class License,
CCCT Second Class License
